Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub confidently for general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, OBGYN and endoscopy cases
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and surgical instrument trays
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently to keep cases moving
• Assist with room turnover and instrument reprocessing between cases
• Respond to on-call notifications and support urgent or emergent procedures
• Communicate clearly with the surgical team to promote patient safety and efficient workflow

Qualifications

• Proven experience scrubbing in general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, OBGYN and endoscopy (as noted in the job description)
• Comfortable taking call and responding to urgent cases
• Current certification or credentialing as a Surgical Technologist is preferred where applicable
• BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Surgical Technology diploma or certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Sterile technique and infection control best practices
• Instrument identification and proper handling for a wide range of surgical specialties
• Operating room safety protocols and specimen handling
• Ability to adapt to varied case types and surgeon preferences
• Clear, professional communication with surgeons, nurses and techs
