Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans as a COTA
- Implement therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence
- Collaborate closely with OTs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Document patient progress, outcomes, and treatment modifications clearly and timely
- Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home programs, and equipment use
- Adapt interventions to meet the needs of diverse patients and changing clinical situations
- Advocate for patient-centered care and contribute to a positive, safety-focused environment
Qualifications
- Current COTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant credential (required)
- Eligible for or able to complete facility credentialing in Massachusetts
- Comfortable providing care across all days of the week as part of the coverage model
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
- Compassionate, team-oriented approach with a focus on patient outcomes
- Available for the 14-week assignment starting March 2, 2026 and ending June 1, 2026
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADL/IADL training and functional mobility interventions
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology recommendations
- Ability to perform and contribute to standardized assessments and care planning
- Proficient in clinical documentation and reporting of measurable outcomes
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
- Familiarity with safety protocols and infection control in a rehab/long-term setting
