Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care and advocate for patients' needs
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent care
- Document care and patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic record
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and promote self-care
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in Maine or Compact RN license that covers Maine
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork mindset
- Ability to work the posted day shift hours and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competence
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Time management and prioritization in busy clinical settings
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and clear communication with patients and staff
