Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver compassionate nursing care for patients with psychiatric conditions
- Monitor patient behavior and mental status, and adjust care plans based on observations
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive, person-centered care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and care interventions
Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize patient safety
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams
- Professionalism and empathy when managing challenging situations
Knowledge & Skills
- Nursing care best practices for behavioral health populations
- Medication administration and monitoring
- Patient assessment and mental status evaluation
- Thorough documentation and charting skills
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
- Effective verbal and written communication with patients and team members
- Familiarity with skilled nursing facility workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration
