Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during your shift
- Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and responses to treatments
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical emergencies
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic charting and handoffs
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact RN license
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
- Prior acute care nursing experience preferred; strong clinical judgment required
- Ability to work 12.5-hour night shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education skills
