Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care in the Medical-Surgical unit, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, including vital signs and observations to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers, ambulation, and mobility under established protocols
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and assist with basic charting tasks
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, person-centered care
• Uphold infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe environment for patients
• Offer emotional support and respectful communication to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) — Montana certification preferred or eligible to obtain
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (preferred)
• Experience in a Medical-Surgical (M/S) setting is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
• Familiarity with vital sign monitoring and routine charting
• Understanding of infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Comfortable with patient transfers and use of mobility aids
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Good interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
