Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions to patients
- Implement individualized treatment plans and carry out therapeutic exercises and modalities
- Document patient progress and communicate changes to the care team in a timely, clear way
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and recovery expectations
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to support patient-centered care
- Monitor patient tolerance and safety during treatments, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Contribute to a positive, rehabilitative environment that focuses on restoring independence
Qualifications
- Active or compact-eligible Physical Therapist Assistant license (MA preferred; must meet state requirements)
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Associate degree or equivalent)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Comfortable providing care across a variety of diagnoses in a rehab/contract setting
- Reliable, professional, and able to work the required schedule including weekends as assigned
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (from an accredited PTA program) or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and assistive devices
- Competent documentation skills in electronic medical records (EMR) and outcome reporting
- Knowledge of safety protocols, infection control, and patient handling techniques
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches for diverse patient needs and functional levels
- Good clinical judgment, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Comfort working in an inpatient rehabilitation/contract facility environment
