Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field for Endoscopy and general surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, anticipating needs, and keeping cases running smoothly
• Set up specialized instrumentation and scopes for Endoscopy cases with precision
• Perform instrument counts and ensure all surgical supplies meet strict safety standards
• Communicate clearly with the OR team to promote patient safety and efficient turnover
• Participate in shared call coverage for evenings and weekends as part of the team

Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist Certification (required)
• Proven ability to perform Endoscopy cases
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Current TB clearance (required)
• Comfort working in shared-call environments, including evenings and weekends

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Surgical Technologist Certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong sterile technique and instrument handling for endoscopic procedures
• Familiarity with OR protocols, counts, and infection control practices
• Ability to quickly set up and troubleshoot endoscopy instrumentation
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-pressure surgical settings
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
