Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and intervene promptly for changes in patient status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the United States or eligible for Hawaii licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Experience or strong interest in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
• Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and teamwork mindset
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Medical-surgical nursing principles and post-operative care
• IV therapy, medication administration, and infusion management
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Prioritization, time management, and safe patient handling
