Roles & Responsibilities

• Process and accurately fill central-fill pharmacy orders with attention to detail
• Prepare, label, and package medications according to facility and regulatory guidelines
• Assist pharmacists with order verification tasks and workflow efficiencies
• Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock replenishment
• Adhere to safety, sterility, and compliance protocols to protect patients
• Communicate clearly with clinical teams and support timely medication delivery
• Participate in quality improvement efforts to enhance pharmacy operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a central fill environment preferred
• State Pharmacy Technician registration or licensure as required by California
• Pharmacy technician certification (PTCB/CPhT) preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with pharmacy workflows, labeling standards, and medication handling
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
• Excellent communication skills and a teamwork-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or on-the-job training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medication names, dosing, and common pharmacy abbreviations
• Familiarity with pharmacy dispensing software and barcode scanning systems
• Understanding of inventory management and cycle counting procedures
• Competence with sterile and non-sterile handling procedures where applicable
• Strong organizational skills and accuracy in data entry
• Awareness of HIPAA and patient privacy best practices
