Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care for patients and families
• Manage newborn and nursery care including routine assessments and documentation
• Perform triage for incoming patients and prioritize care based on acuity
• Conduct and interpret basic fetal monitoring to support safe delivery
• Participate in stabilization and high-risk neonatal care when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives and the interdisciplinary team to deliver family centered care
• Support GYN surgical care at the site when required and assist with safe patient transitions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required
• AHA ACLS required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• Basic Fetal Monitoring skills required
• Experience in triage, labor and delivery, postpartum and nursery required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Previous experience in stabilization of the high-risk neonate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum nursing
• Comfortable with newborn care and nursery workflows
• Proficient in basic fetal monitoring techniques
• Experienced in triage and rapid patient assessment
• Capable of neonatal resuscitation and high-risk stabilization procedures
• Familiar with family centered care principles and clear patient communication
• Able to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
