Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient functional abilities to design individualized OT plans
• Develop and implement therapeutic activities for educational, vocational and recreational goals
• Coordinate care and communicate regularly with physicians, families, and the healthcare team
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies and assistive devices
• Collaborate with team members to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care
• Advocate for patient needs and support discharge planning and community reintegration

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program (required)
• Eligible for or currently hold Oregon OT licensure
• Current CPR certification
• Valid Oregon driver’s license
• Demonstrated knowledge of physical disability care, rehabilitation procedures, and mental health concepts
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association

Knowledge & Skills

• Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention
• Patient evaluation and individualized treatment planning
• Rehabilitation techniques for physical disabilities
• Care coordination and interdisciplinary team collaboration
• Understanding of general medicine, surgical and mental health concepts
• Effective communication with patients, families and clinical teams
• CPR and basic safety procedures
