Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents according to plan of care
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor, record, and report changes in patients' conditions to the care team
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality care
- Assist with activities of daily living while promoting resident dignity and independence
- Participate in facility quality initiatives and resident care planning
Qualifications
- Current LPN license (Class LPN) and in good standing; state licensure appropriate for Maine preferred
- Proven practical nursing experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
- Local only assignment; must be able to commute to Camden, Maine reliably
- Availability for a 15-week assignment (Start Date: 2026-02-02 to End Date: 2026-05-11) or as discussed with recruiter
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or completion of an accredited LPN program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and safe practices
- Clinical assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Wound care and basic procedures relevant to long-term care
- Electronic health record documentation and charting
- Patient-centered care and effective family communication
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care environment
