Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Bear Canyon rehab setting
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient rehabilitation goals
• Document patient status, interventions and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge goals and follow-up needs
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate when necessary

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact RN license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Minimum relevant clinical experience preferred (rehab, med-surg or similar settings appreciated)
• Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to the pace of a rehab facility

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration and wound care
• Proficient with documentation and electronic health record systems
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization in an acute/rehab environment
• Knowledge of rehab principles and interdisciplinary care coordination
• Comfortable educating patients and families and promoting patient independence
