Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily occupational therapy care and assist patients with meaningful ADL training
- Implement therapeutic activities under the supervision of the OTR to promote independence
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in the facility record system
- Educate patients and families on home programs and adaptive techniques to support long-term recovery
- Maintain professional standards, safety protocols, and infection control practices at all times
Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential (required)
- Current credentialing and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Comfortable working the listed day shift schedule (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines
- Demonstrated clinical skills in therapeutic activities and ADL training
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and adaptive equipment
- Skilled in patient assessment, goal-based interventions, and activity analysis
- Competent documentation and charting practices
- Ability to engage patients and families with clear, empathetic education
- Team-oriented approach to coordinated, patient-centered care
