Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Document care in the medical record clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and self-care needs
• Advocate for resident safety, dignity, and the highest standard of care

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license or vocational nursing certificate (must be current or eligible for New Mexico)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Ability to work overnight 12+ hour shifts Monday–Wednesday
• Comfortable with medication administration, basic wound care, and charting in an electronic medical record
• Clean background check and any required immunizations/documentation for the facility
• Travel nursing experience or previous long-term care/rehab experience is a plus

Education

• LPN diploma or practical nursing certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Competence with medication administration and patient safety practices
• Basic wound care and post-operative care knowledge
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting care
• Time management and ability to prioritize in a busy clinical setting
