Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and document administrations accurately and timely
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting significant changes to the care team
- Support patient activities of daily living and promote a safe, comfortable environment
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Maintain clear, professional documentation in the patient record
- Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- Current CPR/BLS certification recommended (verify with facility)
- Ability to pass required background checks and workplace health screenings
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN program; high school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in medication administration and basic wound care
- Comfortable taking vital signs and recognizing patient changes
- Clear, compassionate verbal and written communication
- Ability to work as part of a fast-paced interdisciplinary care team
- Good time management, organization, and documentation habits
