Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Perform safe transfer and mobility assistance, keeping patient dignity front and center
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection control practices and facility safety standards every shift
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
• T-CNA or Travel CNA experience is a plus and fits this role well
• Open, flexible availability to pick up PRN shifts across the block schedule
• Comfortable working 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM night shifts and adapting to varying schedules
• Strong communication skills and an upbeat, team-focused attitude

Education

• CNA certification (state-appropriate) required
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs, transfers, and basic patient care
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills, done clearly and timely
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy long-term care setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
