Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care consistent with LPN scope of practice
- Administer medications and document administration accurately
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and changes in condition
- Perform routine procedures such as dressing changes and basic wound care
- Collaborate with RNs, providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Maintain clear, timely electronic charting and handoffs
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications and post-discharge instructions
- Escalate clinical concerns promptly to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license (practical nurse) — required
- Ability to work the scheduled evenings: Sunday–Wednesday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Local candidates only (as noted in the job details)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with patients, families and team members
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and hands-on nursing care
- Medication administration and basic pharmacology knowledge
- Charting in electronic medical records and attention to documentation detail
- Infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize and respond quickly in a busy clinical environment
