Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- Local candidates only; reliable personal transportation required (facility notes Uber is not acceptable)
- Ability to work the posted day shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding (background check, immunizations, and mandatory trainings) as required
Education
- CNA certification (state-approved program). High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fundamentals in resident care and ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
- Comfortable with basic charting and timely communication with nursing staff
- Observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
- Compassionate bedside manner and the ability to support residents with dignity
