Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to promote dignity and independence
- Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Perform timely and accurate documentation to keep patient records current
- Support a clean and safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
- Active authorization to work in New Mexico or ability to obtain required state registration
- Comfortable and experienced working night shifts
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care techniques and activities of daily living
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Understanding of infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and support staff
- Physical stamina and the ability to respond calmly in busy situations
