Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care and advocate for patient needs
• Perform thorough assessments and develop timely, effective care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following policies and protocols
• Document accurately and efficiently in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and discharge plans
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Support a positive, safety-focused environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be valid for practice in Rhode Island
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable working rotating day/evening shifts; local-only candidates required
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
• Professional attitude, reliable attendance and ability to work collaboratively

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration and care planning
• Proficient at clear, timely clinical documentation and handoffs
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with patients, families and the care team
• Basic familiarity with electronic health records and charting workflows
