Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
- Assess resident conditions and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Document resident care thoroughly and maintain clear medical records
- Collaborate with therapists, CNAs and other staff to deliver individualized care plans
- Support residents’ daily living needs while promoting independence and dignity
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity and safety of care
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license (Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse) — Massachusetts licensure required or eligibility to obtain
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain promptly
- Comfort working overnight shifts and contributing to a team-focused long-term care setting
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to resident-centered care
Education
- LPN: Practical nursing diploma or certificate
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical skills in medication administration, wound care basics and resident assessment
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced rehab/nursing environment
- Clear documentation practices and electronic charting familiarity
- Team collaboration, problem solving and compassionate resident interactions
