Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver individualized physical therapy treatments to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions including exercise, manual therapy, and functional training
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve meaningful outcomes
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to coordinate care
• Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress in the facility’s medical records accurately and timely
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety strategies, and injury prevention to support long-term recovery

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist license (PT). PTA candidates should hold a current California PTA license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Excellent clinical reasoning and hands-on treatment skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to engage patients and families
• Willingness to pass required background checks and pre-employment screening
• Previous experience in inpatient/outpatient rehab or related settings is a plus

Education

• Physical Therapist: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program preferred
• Physical Therapist Assistant: Associate degree from an accredited PTA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of mobility assessment, therapeutic exercise, and manual techniques
• Skilled in restorative care, fall prevention, and functional mobility training
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting outcomes
• Ability to develop measurable goals and convey progress to patients and team members
• Strong organizational skills and time management in a fast-paced clinical setting
