Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as an LPN, ensuring comfort and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Perform routine assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes in condition to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to implement individualized care plans
• Support admissions, discharges, and care transitions with thoughtful patient education
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic medical record and uphold regulatory standards
• Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive, safety-focused workplace culture

Qualifications

• Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the state of New Mexico (or compact privileges if applicable)
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screens as required
• Comfortable working night shifts and managing priorities independently
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic wound care, IV spotting, and routine clinical assessments
• Familiarity with long-term care and rehabilitation nursing workflows
• Proficient charting and electronic medical record (EMR) usage
• Effective patient/family education and teamwork skills
