Shift Type: Per Diem (days vary), Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 - $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct, compassionate patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate)
Assess patients and implement appropriate nursing interventions on Med/Surg and Telemetry units
Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition promptly and safely
Coordinate and guide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
Document care accurately and timely in the charting system (Meditech when used)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to maintain high standards of care
Float to units of competency as needed to meet patient care demands

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN license (required)
Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) — required
Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) — required
Minimum 1 year of previous acute care hospital experience
Med/Surg experience with the ability to float to Telemetry
Meditech EMR experience preferred
Comfortable working per diem day shifts and floating within competency

Knowledge & Skills

Strong Med/Surg nursing knowledge and telemetry monitoring skills
Skilled in patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation
Comfortable with acute care workflows and fast-paced environments
Clear communication and teamwork with patients, families, and clinical staff
Accurate clinical documentation and time management
