Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on assigned shifts
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
Assess patient condition, identify changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
Help maintain a safe, organized unit environment and support quality initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (or compact/Maine RN as applicable)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
Clinical experience in acute care or similar settings preferred
Clear background checks and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
Strong teamwork and communication skills; patient advocacy mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
Medication administration and IV therapy skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment
Compassionate communication with patients, families, and staff
Comfort working within established policies and clinical protocols
