Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient condition accurately and promptly
- Assist nursing team with transfers, ambulation, and mobility support to keep patients safe
- Maintain clear, timely documentation to support continuity of care
- Communicate changes in patient status to nurses and care team members
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
- Build rapport with patients and families to promote comfort and dignity
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Valid CNA credential for practice in Maine or ability to obtain state certification
- Comfortable working night shift hours and supporting a team-centered care model
- Ability to pass standard facility requirements such as background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and knowledge of basic nursing procedures
- Reliable vital signs measurement and documentation practices
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans and direction from nurses
- Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs during a busy shift
