Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Provide compassionate personal care that preserves dignity and independence
- Document care accurately and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention using proper transfer techniques
- Adhere to infection control, facility policies, and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Current LNA certification valid for Vermont (Licensed Nursing Assistant)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain
- Must have reliable personal transportation
- Must have own housing (local-only requirement)
- Able to work both weekends as required
- Comfortable working a 9-week local contract assignment
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved LNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong basic nursing care skills and resident-focused compassion
- Ability to take and interpret vital signs and recognize changes
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with charting and basic documentation practices
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Basic infection control and safety protocol knowledge
