Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with mental health needs
• Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy interventions
• Collaborate with custody and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure safety
• Document clinical encounters, treatment progress and discharge planning in a timely manner
• Consult on behavioral management strategies and participate in case conferences
• Maintain professional, ethical practice and comply with facility policies and reporting requirements

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist (California licensure preferred)
• Experience working with adults with serious mental illness or correctional populations is highly desirable
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and treatment planning skills
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and comply with security protocols

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)
• Familiarity with psychological testing and diagnostic assessment
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and prioritize clinical needs
• Comfort working in structured, security-focused environments
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and case management skills
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations
