Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care and improve flow
• Assess, treat, and document urgent care conditions with compassion and skill
• Administer medications and perform procedures safely following protocols
• Collaborate with providers and support staff to ensure timely patient disposition
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, home care, and follow-up
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and communicate changes in condition

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or PALS preferred
• Prior urgent care, emergency, or ambulatory care experience highly valued
• Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with fast-paced settings
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and urgent care assessment
• IV starts, wound care, splinting, and basic procedures
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Patient education and discharge planning
• Electronic health record (EHR) navigation and documentation
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic clinical environment
