Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate bedside care to patients and assist with activities of daily living
  • Monitor and record vital signs, report changes to nursing staff promptly
  • Assist with safe transfers and mobility, ensuring patient dignity and comfort
  • Maintain accurate documentation in patient charts and care logs
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols consistently
  • Communicate clearly with nurses, patients, and families to support care plans

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
  • Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
  • Comfortable working overnight shifts and delivering patient-centered care

Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong fundamentals in patient care and assistance with ADLs
  • Proficient in measuring and recording vital signs
  • Knowledge of infection control and basic safety procedures
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail for accurate documentation and handoffs
