Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients arriving to the emergency department
• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care, including medication administration and procedures
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate timely patient care
• Document patient encounters clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record
• Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity
• Respond quickly to acute changes in patient condition and assist during resuscitations and emergencies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California license required or eligibility to obtain one)
• Experience in Emergency Room (ER) or acute care settings preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
• Comfortable with triage, emergency procedures, and high-acuity patient care
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency assessment and triage best practices
• IV therapy, medication administration, and documentation
• Trauma and acute care familiarity
• Proficient with electronic medical records and charting
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and prioritize care effectively
