Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care for assigned patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding promptly to changes
• Assess patient condition, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes with clinical confidence
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EHR
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care in a clear, compassionate way
• Respond to rapid changes in patient status with calm, decisive action and escalate concerns as needed

Qualifications

• Current, active California RN license (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Previous telemetry nursing experience preferred; comfort with cardiac monitoring and alarms
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work a night shift schedule and function well in fast-paced environments
• Comfortable with EHR documentation and digital charting

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Medication administration and titration per protocol
• Patient assessment, including cardiac and respiratory systems
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and handoff processes
• Proficient clinical documentation in electronic medical records
• Prioritization and time management during high-acuity situations
