Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and detect changes in patient rhythms promptly
- Assess patient condition and respond to changes with appropriate interventions
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care clearly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute care plans
- Educate patients and families about condition, monitoring, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic health record
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Telemetry clinical experience (experience with continuous cardiac monitoring)
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or obtainable
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems and monitoring equipment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Skilled in patient assessment and prioritization of care
- Effective verbal and written communication with patients and team
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical settings
- Basic familiarity with common telemetry alarms and troubleshooting
