Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess and triage patients presenting with urgent care needs quickly and compassionately
  • Provide skilled nursing care including medication administration and wound management
  • Collaborate with providers and team members to deliver efficient, patient-centered care
  • Document assessments, treatments, and patient education accurately in the EHR
  • Assist with procedures and ensure appropriate infection control and safety standards
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, discharge instructions, and follow-up care

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
  • Prior urgent care, emergency department, or ambulatory care experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, IV insertion, and medication administration skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Triage and urgent care assessment skills
  • IV therapy, medication administration, and basic wound care
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and emergency response procedures
  • Ability to educate patients and caregivers clearly and compassionately
