Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
  • Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
  • Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
  • Support safe transfers and positioning while following proper body mechanics
  • Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate effectively with team members
  • Help create a positive environment by engaging patients in meaningful interactions

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
  • Valid CNA certification recognized in California or ability to obtain one quickly
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
  • Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and providing direct patient care
  • Friendly, patient-centered attitude with strong communication skills

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited CNA training program
  • Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
  • Knowledge of infection control and proper use of PPE
  • Accurate documentation and charting skills
  • Strong observational skills to recognize patient changes
  • Teamwork and effective communication with nurses and care staff
