Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry care and continuous cardiac monitoring for assigned patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing plans
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and document treatments accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — California licensure preferred
• Telemetry clinical experience (prior telemetry unit experience preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and bedside assessment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring proficiency
• Medication administration and IV therapy management
• Patient assessment and prioritization in acute-care settings
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and clinical documentation
• Infection control practices and patient safety standards
• Effective patient and family education techniques
