Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting while preserving dignity
  • Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
  • Support safe patient mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
  • Communicate clearly with nursing staff and document care in charts
  • Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful care

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
  • Active CNA authorization or ability to work in California (required)
  • BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
  • Previous clinical or long-term care experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a care team

Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic patient care techniques and safety practices
  • Infection control and hygiene best practices
  • Accurate vital signs measurement and simple clinical observations
  • Basic documentation and charting skills
  • Compassionate bedside manner and teamwork
