Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage and prioritize care for acute and critical conditions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Monitor and document patient status, recognizing and escalating changes promptly
• Support efficient patient flow in a fast-paced ER environment while maintaining clinical excellence
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Current BLS certification (required); ACLS and PALS preferred
• Emergency nursing experience preferred; comfort in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem shifts and collaborate as part of the ER team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred but ADN with experience is welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and acute care nursing principles
• IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Cardiac monitoring and stabilization of critical patients
• Clear, concise clinical documentation and handoffs
• Team communication, prioritization, and rapid decision-making
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical workflows
