Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU setting
- Assess and monitor patients continuously, responding to changes quickly
- Administer medications and manage complex IV/infusion therapies safely
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize care plans
- Document patient status and interventions accurately in the medical record
- Support patients and families with clear, compassionate communication
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential — Registered Nurse required
- Current state licensure in California (as applicable) to practice as an RN
- BLS required; ACLS and other critical care certifications preferred
- Previous ICU or critical care experience preferred for per-diem ICU shifts
- Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts and adapt to fast-paced environments
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care assessment and monitoring
- Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced airway support
- Cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring experience
- Strong medication administration and IV/line management skills
- Effective teamwork, clinical judgment, and clear documentation
