Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care during the overnight shift
• Perform thorough nursing assessments and monitor patient status
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document clinical findings, interventions, and patient responses in the chart
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies with sound clinical judgment
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Clinical experience as a bedside RN, preferably with night shift experience
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Reliable, professional demeanor and ability to work independently overnight

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Ability to manage common overnight clinical issues and escalate as needed
• Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
• Accurate, timely documentation and charting skills
• Prioritization and time management during busy night shifts
