Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to keep care on track
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver timely, patient-centered care
• Document clinical findings and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate promptly when needed
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge needs, and follow-up
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
• Support efficient patient flow through timely admissions, transfers, and discharges

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing or a related acute-care setting preferred
• Comfortable with medication administration, IV therapy, and patient assessments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; compassionate patient focus
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV care
• Proficient with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment under pressure
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
