Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts — Days: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM; Nights: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM. Schedule includes every other weekend and every third holiday; orientation/onboarding during first week with 1-2 days of floor-specific orientation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer medications and titrate IV drips safely and accurately (including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure meds)
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and provide PCU/stepdown-level nursing care for adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and continuous EEG, respond to changes, and escalate per protocol
• Document patient care promptly and accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
• Support patient safety and unit flow on a fast-paced floor, using critical thinking and strong communication
• Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to meet patient care demands

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state licensure required for submission)
• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (per job posting)
• Driver's license required at time of submittal (used to verify 50-mile radius eligibility)
• Must NOT be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and/or Dignity) within a 50-mile radius
• Comfort with telemetry/stepdown/PCU environment and titratable drips
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and proven critical thinking

Education

• BSN not required (per job posting)
