Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients in the emergency department quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate efficient patient care
• Monitor and document patient status, changes, and responses to treatment with clarity and attention to detail
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during high-stress moments
• Respond to emergencies and acute changes with calm, decisive action and sound clinical judgment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Experience in Emergency Room nursing (prior ER experience preferred)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently during overnight shifts and manage high-acuity patients
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to stay composed under pressure

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BSN preferred but ADNs with strong ER experience are welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in triage, rapid assessment, and prioritization in an ER setting
• Proficient with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Knowledge of emergency protocols, trauma care basics, and infection control practices
• Ability to perform and interpret patient monitoring, IV therapy, and medication administration
• Excellent situational awareness and critical thinking in emergent situations
