Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond quickly to rhythm changes to keep patients safe
• Assess patients regularly, document findings clearly, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders and hospital policy
• Collaborate with physicians, unit nurses, and support staff to coordinate excellent patient care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, telemetry findings, and discharge needs
• Attend handoffs and maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (California licensure required prior to start)
• Telemetry experience preferred or demonstrated competency with cardiac monitoring
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and available for per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring
• Clinical assessment of adult patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs
• IV medication administration and infusion pump management
• Accurate electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Prioritization, critical thinking, and effective verbal/written communication
