Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to prevent injury
• Follow care plans and communicate observations to nurses and supervisors
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients
• Support patient dignity and independence through respectful interactions
• Help with documentation and charting in a timely, accurate manner

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Active authorization to work in California and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and flexible per diem availability
• Strong communication skills and a calm, compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic patient care, ADLs, and safe patient handling
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Strong teamwork and communication with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Basic charting and documentation skills
