Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
• Perform timely assessments, escalate concerns, and participate in shift handoffs
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (required)
• Experience working on telemetry units or with continuous cardiac monitoring preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS encouraged or available upon hire
• Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on night shift

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required for entry; RN degree required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and basic critical care nursing
• Solid assessment skills and clinical decision-making in acute care settings
• Team-oriented mindset with good communication and documentation practices
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond effectively during high-acuity events
