Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to patients with cardiac monitoring needs
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status, trends, and telemetry rhythms
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatments, and discharge planning
• Respond quickly and competently to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact/eligible as required
• Clinical experience caring for telemetry/cardiac monitored patients (per-diem or staff experienced welcome)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and effective communication
• Ability to work a 12-hour day shift and handle the physical demands of bedside care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry rhythm recognition and cardiac monitoring
• Patient assessment, IV therapy, medication administration
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation best practices
• Clinical judgment in acute and progressive care scenarios
• Team communication, handoffs, and patient education
