Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Assess, monitor and document patient condition and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families with clear, empathetic communication
• Perform timely handoffs and accurate documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Support unit workflow and assist in triage during high-acuity situations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or valid compact privilege
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS or other advanced certifications preferred depending on unit needs
• Clinical experience in acute care or relevant specialty preferred (1+ years recommended)
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently overnight and collaborate effectively with team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or equivalent
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in bedside nursing assessments and medication administration
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Skilled at recognizing and responding to acute changes in patient status
• Excellent communication, teamwork and time-management abilities
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety standards
